Reporter at WUFT-FM January 2016-Present

Being a reporter for this news station has shown me a lot about connecting with people. It has taught me to be comfortable with speaking to a wide variety of the community and approaching and interviewing people of all professional levels. It also has helped me better my problem solving skills by catering to complaints and adjusting to different needs in personalities. 

Assistant Director of Video Editing- UF Homecoming and Gator Growl Jan. 2014- Oct. 2014

Being an assistant director of the largest student run homecoming let me utilize my skills such as time management and responsibility. While serving this position, I knew that many people were reliant on me because not only did I have the pressure of creating good material for the whole UF community to view but I also needed to meet deadlines. My main responsibility when editing videos for the event was to show a slice of UF life in a positive manor and represent the campus favorably.

Director of Homecoming Events- Term October 2015-present

In this position I help to plan and organize different events for homecoming at the University of Florida. I have good people skills and listen to others opinions and wants. I know that it is vital to take into consideration other peoples interest, as it is a diverse group that I am accommodating.

Director of Electronic Communications- Term October 2013-2014              

In holding this position I learned to communicate not only with my peers but people I wouldn’t have connected with in this large organization. I worked closely with the recruitment chair and together we produced a video that represented Delta Gamma successfully. I am able to work well under pressure, as a team or individually, follow directions and bring ideas and creativity.

Director of Philanthropy- Term October 2014- 2015

When coming into this position, I was adamant to improve attendance at community service events and the commitment level of my chapter. During this year I helped to raise awareness about camaraderie and hyped up events to make sure people realize how good it feels to participate and raise money all while having fun. I understand the importance of keeping good relations with other IFC chapters and how vital it is to attend events, help raise money for their cause and also have a positive attitude while doing so. It showed me how important it is to put myself out there and contribute.
